Lose Weight, Have Fun, Feel Better.
I have lost a lot of weight in the past year, and the reason was because I was more active and eating differently. I found something that I enjoyed to do that was healthy and my eating habits were different also. I want to share my tips on how I lost my weight and had fun doing it.
Bouldering, similar to rock climbing, in a gym on my college campus. I climbed with some friends 3 days a week for anywhere between 1 to 2 hours. Also, since it is a mile walk to class and a mile back, I walked anywhere from 2 to 4 miles a day just going to and from classes.
So find something you enjoy doing, It doesn’t have to be anything to strainuous. Just something that keeps you active, moving and keeps your muscles working.
My eating habits were different too. I didn’t eat if I was going to sleep in the next hour, and I was also eating smaller meals more times a day. This is actually better for you, and you will notice a difference in your overall health. The foods that I ate were the same, except I was eating less junk food (chips, cookies) and drinking less sodas.
What I was eating however isn’t that uncommon. I ate chicken, vegetables, fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, and bananas. I also started making sushi, not raw fish however. Me and a lot of friends would get together once or twice a week and make spicy shrimp sushi and California rolls. Don’t get disgusted by sushi! It is really good and good for you.
A combination of walking, climbing, and eating less food more often helped me lose about 35 pounds. After losing that weight I feel healthier and happier. So ponder on some activities that you enjoy doing and start! Doing that and a combination of my diet tips will help you lose weight, have fun, and feel better overall.
